Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was pleased with his performance for Brazil in their win over USA.

Fabinho came through 90 minutes of Brazil's 2-0 win over the USA.

He said at the final whistle: "It was straightforward. During the week, the training went well, the technical team know how to guide me, and I also know my team-mates it was easy to play with them.

“At the beginning of the game you have to have patience and I tried to keep things simple to build confidence, but overall it went well."

Asked about playing right-back, he added: “It's not the first time it's happened so I'm used to it. I've done it a few times for my old club (Monaco)."
