Liverpool midfielder Emre Can will not participate in Germany's friendly against Spain tomorrow night.

The injury was sustained while with the 24-year-old sustained was with the Reds.

But Germany manager Joachim Lowe is hopeful Can can feature against Brazil on Tuesday.

"Emre Can will not be in the squad tomorrow because of the back problem he brought with him from Liverpool," Lowe said.

"He tried to train yesterday but broke it off because it was pinching a bit. Maybe Saturday he can return to training and hopefully play a role against Brazil."

Can has won 20 caps for his country since making his debut in 2015.
