Emre Can has declared Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah as a "brilliant signing".

Against Champions League opponents Maribor, Salah ended the night with two goals and an assist – and has scored eight in 13 since his summer move to Anfield.

“He can always score," he said. “He's quick, creating chances, he's a brilliant player and a brilliant signing for us and he did a very good job.

“But I think you can't pick today, everybody did well, everybody played good and that's the way we have to go."

Salah added: "The team did good and we had a good result so that's the most important thing."
