Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has hailed senior teammate James Milner.

Milner, 31, scored from the spot as Liverpool held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad on Sunday.

That goal maintained the former England international's perfect record from 12 yards out, taking his overall tally for the season to seven in the process.

Can told Liverpool's official website: “I [have] never seen a player like Millie who scores penalties.

“He's incredible in training sessions, every ball is hard in the corner, he shoots penalties very well.

“In the game, he played very well, and it wasn't an easy game for him against Raheem [Sterling].

“He's quick and it's very difficult to play against him.

"I'm very happy that he scored again."
