Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole isn't giving up on his England career.

Cole has impressed on-loan at Lille this season.

"If the call comes, I would be very happy," he said at a press conference broadcast on Sky Sports News.

"I am a proud Englishman. I love playing for my country.

"If it comes, great. If it doesn't, my main focus is to win some trophies for Lille."

On the Olympics, Cole added: "I would love to play in it.

"I would be very excited because it is in London. It is in East London, where I started my football career.

"I love the Olympics. I have been trying to get tickets, but it is very, very hard. So, I had better play in it."
