Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole hopes to extend his stay at Lille.

Cole has impressed on-loan at Lille this season.

"I would like to stay here, but it's still too early to say," he said. "Let's see how Lyon finish the season.

"I am happy here, my family too. I was well received and I love this team. 'But it's not me who decides. We need to see what the board decides.

"The financial issue is important, but money is not the priority for me. I enjoy being on the pitch and that's the main thing.

"I've not spoken to anyone at Liverpool. I'm expecting a call for them."
