Liverpool's Joe Allen will soon have shoulder surgery according to manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Welshman has been battling the problem since late last year and will succumb by undergoing an operation.
"We made a change today with Joe Allen having been struggling since October with his shoulder and he'll probably need an operation," Rodgers told Sky Sports ahead of today's clash with Tottenham.
Despite that, Allen came off the bench to play a key role in Liverpool's 3-2 home win over Spurs.
