Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen can't wait to join the Wales national squad for Euro 2016.

The 26-year-old claims that after 12 months of hard work he finds himself in perfect position as he gets to look forward to featuring in the Europa League final against Sevilla next week before representing his country in the UEFA Championships in France this summer.

"The Euros is something that's been there for lots of players to look forward to, I'm no different," he said.

"It's a great position to be in at the moment. There is so much to look forward to in terms of club football with the final coming up.

"And then once the end of the season comes, there's the international football to follow."
