Liverpool midfielder Allan is expected to move out on-loan this month.

The Liverpool Echo says Allan was expected to seal a loan deal after completing his time with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

“He won't be with us because of work permit issues," U23 coach Neil Critchley admitted. “He has been with us a little bit in pre-season but his situation is going to be very similar to last season where he possibly could be going out on loan somewhere.

“I'm not sure where that is at the moment."
