Neven Subotic has agreed to join FC Koln on loan for the remainder of the Bundesliga season.

The Borussia Dortmund defender has departed the Westfalenstadion after both clubs agreed to the short-term deal, according to Bild.

Subotic, 28, had been linked with Liverpool in the summer and was also close to joining Middlesbrough prior to the 2016/17 season.

However, he will head to the RheinEnergieStadion after Koln lost Mergim Mavraj to Hamburg SV.
