Liverpool have opened talks with Inter Milan for Mateo Kovacic.
Calciomercato.com says Liverpool have met with Inter with the view to sign midfielder Kovacic.
The Reds have held talks with the club's sporting director Piero Ausilio to open negotiations for the Croatian 21-year-old.
Inter are holding out for a fee of £12.9m after turning down bids of £7.5m earlier this month.
