Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson believes that Everton could shift their base to a new stadium within two years.
The Toffees have been scouting locations for their new stadium around Liverpool as they look ahead to a possible Goodison Park departure.
Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright and new owner Farhad Moshiri met with Anderson in London on Tuesday to discuss the possible locations for the new stadium.
The Everton-supporting Mayor posted a picture of the meeting on his Twitter with the caption "Great meeting with Farhad. Still believe a new stadium in 2 yrs is achievable. #COYB."
