Liverpool manager Klopp: We have to learn from Swansea loss

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists his players will learn from their loss to Swansea City on Monday night.

Alfie Mawson's first-half was enough for the Swans on a night they frustrated Liverpool.

Like much of last season, the Reds were unable to break down a side who sat deep in their own half and Klopp believes his players must do a better job when faced with the problem again.

"We lost the game in the first half. Not only because we conceded the goal - it can happen like this - but because we did not keep the positions we wanted to," said Klopp.

"We wanted to do it differently, it did not work out. At half time we said OK, maybe we can start doing what we wanted to do at the beginning. But because of the first half we were not secure in what we were doing.

"The clearest chance was in the last second more or less. A point for sure would have been OK but not what we would have wanted before the game so even that would not have made it any better to be honest.

"We had to play football, we had plenty of opportunities to restart but in the end it was not good enough.

"We are frustrated of course. We have to learn from it. The boys did really well in the last few weeks but that does not help us tonight."
