Liverpool management are determined to find a new goalkeeper this summer.

The Mirror says Liverpool will step up their search for a new keeper after Loris Karius' Champions League final meltdown.

Kop bosses planned to bring in a new keeper before Karius' horror night, but now that search will intensify with Roma No.1 Alisson and Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid two of the most prominent names on their shortlist.

Kop gaffer Jurgen Klopp will not jettison Karius completely with Simon Mignolet virtually certain to leave Anfield in the summer. But Karius can now expect a top class signing to arrive to take charge of the No.1 jersey.

The Anfield boss had wanted to give Karius the chance to show he is ready to become the club's long-term first choice, but the events in Kiev have shattered that faith.
