FC Basel young gun Xherdan Shaqiri has now heard from German club Hamburg.
The 19-year old Swiss international has recently been tracked by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United but Hamburg boss Michael Oenning has confirmed interest in the £7million-rated winger.
"It is correct that we have shown our interest to Basel and director of sport Frank Arnesen has contacted the club," said Oenning in an interview with Blick.
Apart from the tow English clubs, Shaqiri has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Fiorentina and Roma but it seem as though Hamburg are currently in the lead for his services.
