Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez insists he is not worth the reported 40million (about £33.4m) buyout clause that has been mentioned in some stories recently.
The 23-year old, who has emerged as a target for Liverpool and Manchester City, reportedly has a huge buyout which has been written into his contract by Bilbao but he does not believe anybody would pay that price for his services.
"I see it as too much money for me. I don't think I'm worth 40million euros.
"These things [the rumours] are always going on in the world of football," he added.
"Although it is very nice to be talked about in the newspapers, it is a product of what you are doing and says you're doing things right.""I do not think there's anyone who wants to pay so much for me," he told Mundo Deportivo.
