Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl concedes Mahmoud Dahoud is destined for bigger things.

The young attacking midfielder has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City leading up to the winter market.

However, Eberl says Dahoud, 20, shouldn't leave Gladbach too soon.

"Of course we get these thoughts. Mo has the potential for a top club in Europe, but it would be better if he took the next step with us," he said.

"He and his agent know that we want to extend - but we will not force it and are not beggars either."
