Liverpool remain in the hunt for Croatian whizkid Ante Coric.
The Sun says Coric, 19, was the subject of interest throughout the summer as both Liverpool and Manchester City looked to lure him from Dinamo Zagreb.
But the youngster – regarded as one of Europe's top talents – chose to remain at the club, despite revealing he was just 'a medical away' from linking up with Liverpool.
He said in the summer: “I am happy such big clubs want me, but I want to play with my favourite team in the Champions League.
“It was up to me to decide, all I needed to do was a medical, but I want to stay at Dinamo, where I can give a lot more."
The youngster – who has two senior caps and has represented Croatia at almost every age group – would command a fee of around £10million.
