Liverpool are chasing Real Mallorca striker Oscar Trejo.
Marca says Liverpool have already made a formal approach to Mallorca about the young Argentine's availability.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez wants to sign Trejo initially on-loan with the view to a permanent deal at the end of the 2008/09 season.
