Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is making a move for Southampton centre-forward Ricki Lambert. The Mirror says Rodgers is trying to pull off a shock £4m deal for England striker Lambert.
Liverpool boss Rodgers wants to strengthen his strike force and also get another option for his attack and Lambert has emerged as a surprise target.
It means that the Reds could end up signing THREE Southampton players this summer as Rodgers wants to add more depth and quality ahead of a big season in the Champions League.
They are also in for Adam Lallana and are hopeful of completing a big money move for the Southampton captain. Rodgers also wants Southampton defender Dejan Lovren in what would be an incredible treble raid on St Mary's.
