Liverpool to make first move for Man Utd target Kjaer
Liverpool are ready to launch a bid for Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
The People says the big defender, 20, wants a move to the Premier League and agents acting on his behalf have been instructed to secure a switch to a top-four club.
The Reds have indicated an interest would be willing to make a bid of around £10m.
Kjaer has a release clause of 12m euros (£10.8m) in his deal at Palermo and president Maurizio Zamparini is adamant that he will not be leaving for a penny less.
All monies must also be paid up front.
That is not too far from Liverpool's valuation and Kjaer would jump at the chance to sign for the Anfield club.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring Kjaer's situation, and Juventus are also keen.
But the English top flight is his preferred destination and Liverpool hope to steal a march on their rivals.

***** MU 4 EVA....!!!
I don't think exchanging words laced with profanities would turn history around. The home truth remains the fact that both clubs had acheived so much in the world of football. As a young person my generation knew of a LFC team that dominated England of the Seventies. My generation knows MUFC of the present SAF-era. Pls LFC fans take heart. Your time will come maybe 20 or more years when Torres, Gerrard and Ngog would had blended. Encourage Benitez to continue his wonderful rotation policy. It suits average clubs.
History, history, history again...yes u,ve beaten Man U 3 times in a row but with those wins what silverware did u claim?U guys depend on Torres and Gerrard,we've shown u that we dont need CR to score,hey.....but oh poor old Liverfool....no Torres, no Gerrard and they are like Titanic...sinking to the 7th sea of EPL!Wake up, smell da roses and switch over to Man u, dude! But we dont need u anyway...u r more of a liability than an asset to us REAL Soccer fans!
