Liverpool have reportedly made a £20million bid for Southampton captain Adam Lallana.
The Liverpool Echo has reported that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is determined to lure the 26-year old to Anfield this summer and is hoping £20m is enough to get the deal over the line.
Lallana , who was named in Roy Hodgson's England squad for this summer's World Cup, has also been targeted by Manchester United but it appears as though Liverpool are looking to steal a march on their rivals.
The report adds that the Saints are looking for somewhere around £25m if they are to sell their star who took out the south coast club's Player of the Year award as well as being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
