Tom Hicks, co-owner of Liverpool, is holding talks with Kuwait billionaire Nasser Al-Kharafi to discuss a possible takeover at Anfield, according to UK press reports. Nasser Al Kharafi - who is the 48th richest man in the world with an £9 billion fortune - has reportedly met with Hicks' representatives in London and Liverpool's commercial and financial director Phillip Nash travelled to Kuwait this week seeking investment for the club's new ground.
Hicks and Gillett, who took over the Merseyside club in February 2007, value to club between £550 and £600 million.
It is the second time in a year that the Americans are believed to have sought to sell the club to the family.
