Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey made his Blackpool loan debut on Saturday and scored with a stunning 35-yard free-kick in the 5-0 demolition of Bristol City. "It is definitely the furthest out I've ever scored from in a professional game," the 19 year old told The Gazette.
"I try stuff like that quite often, though. I have tried lobbing the keeper from the halfway line a few times, and hopefully I'll be able to do one of those at Bloomfield Road.
"The manager just told me to go and express myself, which is what I like to do.
"The day couldn't have gone any better for me - it was perfect."
