West Bromwich Albion are pondering a summer move for departing Liverpool defender Steven Caulker.
According to reports, the Baggies are eyeing the 24-year-old centre-back who is set to return to Queens Park Rangers following a season out on loan with Southampton and Liverpool.
Caulker made just 12 appearances total in all competitions with both Premier League clubs but it is believed that Tony Pulis ready to make a move as Albion get set to offload James Chester, who has been linked with Swansea City.
Crystal Palace and Sunderland are also keen on Caulker who is almost certain to be sold by QPR this off-season.
Also on Albion's defensive radar is Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark who is set to play in the Championship next season if he stays at Villa Park.
The 26-year-old is contracted with the Villans until the summer of 2020 but is wanted by their West Midlands rivals and the lure of staying in England's top flight could be too much to overlook.
