Liverpool legend Phil Thompson has urged his former club to take Roma seriously during the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.
The Reds cruised to a 5-2 win against Roma during the first-leg of their tie at Anfield on Tuesday through braces from Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and a goal from Sadio Mane. But the Serie A club have chance after they previously overturned a three-goal deficit in their quarter-final win over Barcelona.
"When you saw what they did with Barcelona, that is the problem," Thompson said.
"It's delicately balanced, and you wouldn't have said that with 10 minutes to go in this game. It was an astonishing game of football."
