Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is set to have his life made into a film.

The Sun says Asif Kapadia directed films on Amy Winehouse and Ayrton Senna, and is now planning a documentary with the former England captain.

The film will document Gerrard's 17-season Anfield stint, which peaked with the 2005 Champions League triumph in Istanbul.

Former England teammates David Beckham and Wayne Rooney will apparently star, as will ex-bosses Kenny Dalglish and Sven-Goran Eriksson.

A source told The Sun: “Stevie was really impressed with Asif's work after seeing Amy.

“Stevie's story is not just one for the Liverpool fans but sports fans the world over."
