Liverpool legend Souness: Man Utd's Scholes has forced me to eat my words
Liverpool legend Graeme Souness admits he was wrong to question Paul Scholes' comeback for Manchester United.
Souness wrote in the Daily Star Sunday: "He showed when he came on as substitute at Chelsea last Sunday that he can still be an major influence on the way United play.
"The test, of course, is for him to do the business over a period of time – and to sustain his form and fitness.
"I genuinely hope he does that because I am a huge fan of his ability.
"And if that means he continues to prove me wrong, then so be it.""Scholes certainly played his part in that United fightback at Stamford Bridge, where they salvaged a point after being three goals down.
