Liverpool legend Graeme Souness feels Dejan Lovren was rattled by Tottenham ace Harry Kane yesterday.

The Croatian centre-back was hauled off by Jurgen Klopp after 31 minutes of yesterday's 4-1 defeat at Spurs after making two mistakes leading to goals.

"Lovren looked like he was in awe of Harry Kane," he told talkSPORT.

"He tried to catch him in a cute way playing offside first and the second time he has tried to nick in front of him and head the ball.

"What would Tony Adams have done? If I am playing the game I am saying to Lovren, 'let him know how strong you are, let him feel your power'. Instead he is trying to be cute and clever."
