Liverpool great Ian Rush suggests the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will be a venue warmly received by the current crop of Reds players.
The Anfield club take on Melbourne Victory in a preseason friendly on July 24 and Rush insists the 100,000-capacity MCG is a brilliant place to showcase one of England's most successful clubs.
"Just looking at that stadium, my job when I get back is to tell the players how fantastic the stadium is," the Welsh legend told reporters at a press conference at the MCG on Tuesday.
"They've played at Wembley, they've played at the Millennium (Stadium in Cardiff) but just looking at this stadium it is going to be absolutely fantastic."
Rush added that Liverpool, although fiercely popular in this part of the world, will be looking to win over more fans when they head down under.
"We have to take Liverpool Football Club to the supporters," he added.
"It is the brand of Liverpool Football Club and we see ourselves as a family club and the history of the club and everything else so from that point of view we want to entertain, put in a good performance and hopefully people go away supporting LFC even more."
