Liverpool legend Ian Rush says Andy Carroll's problems at Anfield is down to confidence.
Rush knows a thing or two about finding the back of the net, having scored a club record 346 goals for Liverpool, and says the Reds' strikers must not hide on the pitch.
"A lot of it is down to confidence and when you're going through a run like this, it's about having the confidence to miss," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"If you miss one chance, you need not to be scared to miss again and again if need be.
"That's what you keep doing until you score one. That's what it's all about and that's how you start scoring again.
"You can't hide otherwise you will never score. You have to keep putting yourself in there for when the chances come.
"You've got to believe in yourself and the goals will come. It's all about confidence when you're a striker. It doesn't matter if one goes in off your backside, you just want a goal to get you going again.
"The good thing is, they are creating chances and they're just not putting them away."
