Liverpool legend Steve Nicol says manager Jurgen Klopp should move for Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

Nicol rates Godin ahead of Besiktas stopper Domagoj Vida.

"Should Liverpool sign Vida? I would say no," he told ESPN.

"If I could right now, I would go to Atletico Madrid and get Diego Godin."

Godin has been a mainstay of the Atletico defence since signing from Villarreal in 2010, and was part of the team that won La Liga in 2014 and reached two Champions League finals.
