Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has questioned their deal for Stoke City attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss signed for the Reds yesterday.

“Shaqiri has got ability," Nicol said. “That's not the thing that worries me.

“What worries me is his attitude. This is a guy who, to me, looks as though it's all about him.

“You can look at this Liverpool team under Klopp and you see a chemistry. This guy is going to need to have a huge attitude change.

“He's going to be coming off the bench. But if he's doing that with a bad attitude then it negates the ability."
