Liverpool legend Steve McManaman is a big fan of summer arrival Raul Meireles.
The former Porto star hasn't convinced everyone amongst Reds fans.
But Macca told liverpoolfc.tv: "I think Raul Meireles has come in and looked good. Lucas has grown in stature too so there is strength in the midfield area and it looks like it has the potential to get better and better.
"I'd still like Steven (Gerrard) to be one of the central midfielders though. He's one of the best all-round players in the world and can dominate games, which is obviously what you want."
