Liverpool legend McMahon happy seeing Dalglish again in charge

Liverpool legend Steve McMahon is delighted seeing Kenny Dalglish back in charge.

McMahon, a former Everton midfielder, was actually Dalglish's first ever signing when he moved from Aston Villa in 1985.

The former England midfielder believes there is a sense of destiny to Dalglish getting a second chance to come back and take charge of the club he loves so much.

"Even though at the moment he is Liverpool's caretaker manager, I am certain he will already be thinking about where he can take the club if and when he gets the job full-time," McMahon told LFC Weekly this week.

"I know that he feels there is unfinished business with Liverpool after he quit so abruptly in 1991. That's why supporters are perhaps seeing a different side to him now.

"He's permanently got a smile on his face because he's enjoying having this second chance.

"Nobody identifies with Liverpool Football Club or the people of the city like Kenny. If he gets the job full-time, I wouldn't put it past him taking the side back to where it was before he left. He has a brilliant football mind."
