Liverpool legend Lawro: QPR must make Hughes decision this month

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson feels QPR chairman Tony Fernandes is facing crunch time over Mark Hughes' future.

Lawro wrote in the Mirror: "Mark Hughes has been a good manager wherever he has been.

"There can be no argument about that. But he has to start winning matches before the end of November. Even he knows that.

"If he doesn't get some wins then you could see a scenario where the QPR chairman Tony Fernandes would be justified in looking to bring a new man in.

"That man would, in theory, have a month to assess the squad and decide on what he needs to do to improve it and get players out.

"And that would perhaps give Rangers a chance of staying in the Premier League. He clearly wouldn't want to, and rightly so. But right now Rangers are still looking like a collection of individuals rather than a team."
