Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson feels Roberto Mancini's future at Manchester City is hanging by a thread.

Lawro wrote in the Mirror: "This is a crucial time for Roberto Mancini if he wants to stay on as City manager. He has to finish second and win the FA Cup if he is to be given another year and already it seems like a close call.

"The two Spanish guys in charge will be looking for a title challenge next year and Mancini needs to give them reasons in the next few weeks why he deserves another year."
