Liverpool legend Lawrenson can't see Stoke sacking Pulis

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson can't see Stoke City sacking Tony Pulis.

Lawro wrote in the Mirror: "I will be really surprised if Stoke sack Tony Pulis.

"It will surprise me because there are good people who run that club - people that Tony has a good relationship with, such as chairman Peter Coates and chief executive Tony Scholes.

"They are not guys given to acting on a whim. And if there is anything we have learned over the years in football it is that you act in haste and repent at leisure.

"I'm not saying there are not issues to address for the Potters. Maybe the board have looked at the impact Paolo Di Canio has made at Sunderland and are wondering whether they need someone to come in and shake things up.

"But who would you bring in? Roberto Di Matteo? Mark Hughes? You're talking about the same old people again. Would they bring the energy Di Canio does? Not for me."
