Liverpool legend Hunt: Suarez not club's best yet

Liverpool legend Roger Hunt says Luis Suarez can't be regarded as the club's greatest striker just yet.

Suarez has scored 15 goals in 10 Premier League appearances this season - and has the best minutes-per-goal ratio in the top five European leagues.

"There have been many greats," Hunt told the Mirror. "Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Aldridge, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen.

"Suarez certainly takes the crowd's breath away and certainly ranks with the top forwards who have played for the club.

"But with me and all these players, we were at the club for quite a few years and we had to prove ourselves consistently over a period of time. If he is to be judged as the best ever he will have to be at the club quite a bit longer.

"If he goes on at the rate he's going - and he is undoubtedly in magnificent form - perhaps for another five years at the club then he will be able to call himself the best ever striker at the club."
