Liverpool legend Alan Hansen says Jurgen Klopp needs to find a new goalkeeper.

Hansen believes Klopp must invest in the defence and a goalkeeper if Liverpool are to compete for honours next season.

He told the Mirror: "The most important components of any defensive unit are the goalkeeper and two centre backs.

"If you have a commanding keeper and two commanding central defenders who make a good partnership, you are quids in – the foundations are sound, and you can't believe how hard it is to score against that axis of stability.

"To build those foundations you are going to need continuity, a system that suits your personnel and a settled way of playing – and Liverpool have not had any of those things this season."
