Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard feels Brendan Rodgers can have no complaints about his sacking.
Gerrard left Liverpool in the summer when he headed across the pond to join MLS side LA Galaxy.
However, he was followed out the Anfield exit door by Brendan Rodgers, who was axed after a poor start to the season.
Gerrard told RTE: “It's a results business and everyone knows nowadays more than ever it's a brutal sport, being a manager.
"You can be in a job for very little time, you can be there for years, it depends on results.
“He give it everything he'd got and come very close to being successful, but Brendan knows more than anyone if results fail and the team falls down the league there's going to be questions asked."
