Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has announced he's leaving LA Galaxy.

Gerrard failed to make Galaxy's starting line-up for their MLS play-off game against Colorado Rapids earlier this month, which added fuel to the rumours suggestions he would not be handed a new contract by the MLS club.

And in a post to Instagram, he stated: "I will miss you LA."

There have been suggestions that Gerrard may look to follow in David Beckham's footsteps by playing for a top European club before he calls time on his career, amid talk that he still feels he has something to offer at the age of 36.
