Liverpool legend Gerrard biggest regret: Obviously the Chelsea game...

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard admits his infamous slip against Chelsea is the biggest regret of his career.

Just retired Gerrard suffered one of his lowest points as a footballer when the then-Liverpool captain slipped during the Reds' game against Chelsea in 2014 to allow Demba Ba to score at Anfield. It effectively ended Liverpool's title hopes as Manchester City went onto to finish champions.

When asked what the worst moment of his playing days was, Gerrard told BT Sport: "Obviously the Chelsea game.

"That's one that will haunt me for a long time. The complete opposite to the feelings of the Champions League where you are on this incredible high and then you go back to the Chelsea game and, that being a pivotal moment, it felt like a disaster happened in my life.

"That's how bad it was."
