Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has called on the club to deal in manager Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers has 15 months left on his current deal - although the club has the option to extend his stay by another year.
Fowler told the Daily Star Sunday: "Brendan has a bit of everything about him. Tactically he is very good, his man-management skills are brilliant and the bottom line is that he has got results.
"He has shown how brave he is - and it is refreshing for a manager to sometimes say, 'If this isn't working, we'll go another way'.
"He has a Plan B and Plan C and we don't see that very often in the Premier League. You get managers who stick to a game plan and try at it until it works - almost out of stubbornness.
"But Brendan has the ability to restructure his teams and formations and has got confidence in his players to win games even in adverse circumstances. And once you have a manager who backs his men, players will always give a bit more in return."
