Liverpool legend Fowler calls for patience with Klopp

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has urged the fans to remain patient with manager Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp arrived at Anfield a couple of months ago amid much fanfare but Liverpool's fortunes have not improved much since the appointment of the German and following a poor run of recent results, the Reds hopes of securing Champions League football appears clouded.

Despite the disappointing start under Klopp, Kop great Fowler believes that the 48-year-old will eventually come good and is urging patience from the fans.

Fowler told the Liverpool Echo: "It's been a lot slower than a lot of people would have wanted.

"The big saving grace is we are in a cup final, and I don't think many people would have expected that so soon into his tenure.

"Realistically, we want to finish as high up the league as we can but it's getting tougher and tougher to get into a Champions League.

"Once he has been here a little bit longer, I'm pretty sure we will see more of what Jurgen has got to offer."
