Liverpool legend Dalglish praises West Ham for standing by Allardyce

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has praised West Ham United for standing by manager Sam Allardyce.

Dalglish wrote in the Mirror: "In contrast to the situation at Cardiff, West Ham appear to be showing loyalty to Sam Allardyce, even though he is in a tough position.

"I like to think that is because owners David Gold and David Sullivan have that bit more experience in football and know there is no easy fix to their problems.

"I always hear that sacking a manager and bringing another one in gives an instant lift, but does it also heal injured players? To get rid of the boss is an easy fix at times, but does it solve problems like injuries?"
