Liverpool legend Dalglish offers support to Gerrard

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has offered words of support to Steven Gerrard after he was charged with assault and affray.

Dalglish told the Daily Mail how he and wife Marina spent time with Gerrard and his wife Alex on Sunday night.

"Marina and I were talking to them about meeting up to help Marina's charity," he said.

"They've already helped anyway but they wanted to do more. He was out with his mates and they were enjoying themselves. They were as good as gold."
