Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish rates Luis Suarez ahead of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. Dalglish wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "There was a lot of speculation on Friday that Luis Suarez will have to move position to accommodate the arrival of Daniel Sturridge.
"Well, we probably need to wait for a few weeks to see where Sturridge is going to fit in.
"He only started one game in the Premier League this season for Chelsea so he is going to take a bit of time to get up to speed. All I would say about Luis is that he has probably been the league's outstanding player this season.
"He has been superb in his role and when people are talking about players of the season, at this stage you wouldn't look further than Luis and Robin van Persie.
"At the moment, I think Luis is edging it. He is more important to Liverpool than van Persie is to United."
