Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish fears Rafa Benitez will quit the club in the summer if the board continue their antics.

Dalglish told the News of the World: "Tom (Hicks) and George (Gillett) need to sort it and sort it yesterday. The current situation is only creating huge uncertainty for the club, the players and the manager.

"To his credit, Rafa is getting on with the job and he is committed to the club. But how can you do it properly when you have two owners who don't agree with each other?

"Rafa needs to know his transfer budget.

"Not only that, he needs to renegotiate contracts.

"After all that, I don't think there is a fan who wouldn't understand if Rafa's frustrations led to him considering moving somewhere else.

"I would understand. Me and the vast majority of Liverpool fans would hope it doesn't get to that. But that is a risk you run if it doesn't get sorted."
