Liverpool's appointment of Roy Hodgson as its new manager has been heavily backed by club legend Kenny Dalglish.
Dalglish originally applied for the position following the departure of Rafael Benitez but despite not getting the role, has thrown his weight behind former Fulham man Hodgson.
"I look very favourably on the appointment. I have known Roy a long time and have a great respect for him. We've not had detailed conversations yet but my interests are in Liverpool," he said.
